Make the most of your Wedding Favors...on any budget,
wherever you are, Westchester, Rockland, etc.
- A great idea as proposed by one innovative bride: buy
champagne flutes from the dollar store. Then, paint the
bride and groom's names and the dates on them.
- Miniature picture frames can also double as place cards.
You can choose some lovely frames with a pewter-engraved
cherub design, for example. Then, simply slip the place
cards into the frame and set them at your wedding
tables.
- Whether you are by a beach, or simply in your local
Westchester craft store, seashells are a great idea for
a wedding favor. One bride reports that she affixed
magnets to the seashells, then put them in small netlike
bags. Tie them with a bow, and there you have it!
- If you are a whiz with the computer at your New York
City office, then here's yet another great idea--make
small business cards with the wedding dates and the
names of the bride and groom. Then, place them in a party
favor bag of bathbeads.
- For a seasonal touch, one bride carved out leaf-shaped
silhouettes from wood. She then stamped her name and that of
her husband-to-be on the leaves.
